Heat therapy devices use infrared or conductive heat to raise body temperature and induce a sweat response, ranging from sauna blankets and portable infrared tents to full home saunas. Sessions typically run 20–45 minutes at temperatures from 50°C (sauna blankets and infrared tents) up to 80–100°C (traditional saunas).
Published research on heat exposure — particularly Finnish population studies using traditional high-temperature saunas — links regular sessions to cardiovascular and longevity benefits. Whether those findings transfer directly to lower-temperature infrared blankets and tents is not yet well established, and this site does not claim equivalence between the two.
GreatHealthGear evaluates heat therapy devices by aggregating independent user reviews, published manufacturer specifications, heat exposure research where applicable, and independent EMF testing data where available. No products are tested in-house. Detoxification and weight loss claims are excluded, as the evidence does not support them.
