What You Sacrifice at the Budget Tier

Wavelength count: Budget panels typically offer fewer wavelengths. The BIO 300 and MitoPRO 750 cover the core red and NIR spectrum adequately for most applications but omit additional wavelengths that broader-spectrum panels provide.

Treatment area: Budget devices generally cover smaller treatment areas per session. The BIO 300 is targeted; the MitoPRO 750 covers the upper body.

Documentation: Budget devices from credible brands still publish some third-party verification. The PlatinumLED BIO 300 has the same testing documentation as the larger BioMax panels.

What you don’t sacrifice: When buying from PlatinumLED or Mito Red, the core photobiomodulation efficacy β€” real wavelengths at real irradiance β€” is present. The difference from premium devices is coverage area and wavelength breadth, not whether the device actually works.
